About the national Park
It is located in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh in which the vegetation’s are of deciduous type.
The Madhya pradesh has a good forest cover which makes it a suitable place for the Kuno national park to blossom.
It’s named is derived from the meandering Kuno river which is one of the main tributaries of Chambal river which flows from south to north and totally divides the park into two sections.
Its location is also near the vindhyan hills which makes it a proper support system for the Kuno national park.
Initially the Kuno national park was a Wildlife sanctuary which was later promoted to the national park in 2018.
A national park is a reserved park which has no interference in totality and the vegetations and wildlife are not interfered.
The park has is composed of plateaus, alleys and seasonal rivers which makes it unique in his ecosystems.
The different types of terrain makes it useful for the maximum types of animals.
Vegetation is also in a divers form as it has tropical dry deciduous forests which makes it suitable for some animals.
It has savannah grasslands which makes it suitable for the plant eating animals or herbivores like deers.
It has riverine forests which also makes the forest ample in water.

The dominant trees include Khair which is known as Acacia Katechu and Salai which is known as Bosewelia Serena.and Ber which is known as Ziziphus Mauritiana.
Fauna found in this location
This is a protected area area in which many animals are found such as Jungle Cat, Indian Leopard, Sloth Bear, Stripped Haynes, Indian wolf, Bengal fox, Golden Jacal and Dhole.
It has many types of birds species also.
Why this became important
This park was selected as The National plan for Introduction of Cheetah in India.
In which the Cheetah’s would be brought to India from other countries and give a peaceful environment for regeneration.
