
India and Thailand agreed upon major deals in 10th defence dialogue in Bangkok, where they agreed to deepen collaboration in manufacturing, research, innovation and capability development during 10th defence dialogue in Bangkok.
Both the countries reaffirmed commitment to peace, stability and prosperity in indo pacific region.
The 10th Thailand- India defence dialogue took place in Bangkok in June 16, 2026 to review the full spectrum of bilateral defence cooperation and exchange views on regional and Global security of mutual Interest.
The dialogue was co chaired by Thailand deputy permanent secretary for defence admiral Nuttapol Diewvanich and Joint secretary, Ministry of defence, Government of India Shri Satyajit Mohanty.
This dialogue was done so that there would be mutual cooper and there can be e a bilateral defence cooperation, there would be cooperation in defence with the full support of both the countries.
Key discussed subjects
The two sides discussed the evolving security environment in the Indo Pacific region and exchanged perspectives on regional developments.
With the growing threat on the Indo Pacific region the two of the countries have exchanged the knowledge and the ideas related to the Indo Pacific region on regional changes.
They reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
Both the countries are in favour of increasing stability and prosperity in the region so that both the countries can be benefitted out of it.
The delegations reviewed the progress made in bilateral defence cooperation since the previous dialogue.
Discussions covered the ongoing military to military engagements capacity building initiatives, training exchanges, maritime cooperation and other areas of mutual trust .
In the discussions the defence cooperation is a major part in which the capacity of both the countries can be increased.
The dialogue also reviewed the ongoing defence industry cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides discussed opportunities to deepen collaboration in defence manufacturing, research, innovation.
Capability development with a view to promoting mutual benefit partnerships between their respective defence systems.
The delegation exchanged views on cooperation on regional and multinational defence cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting concluded the discussions on future engagements and the way ahead for bilateral defence cooperation since. India and Thailand elevated their bilateral ties to a formal strategic partnership in 2025.
Both the countries have developed a good mutual trust which can be beneficial for both of them .
